Hello readers, we all hope you enjoyed your summer. As you can see; this blog has made a few changes. Don’t worry, we will continue to blog and let consumers know about the best ways to make money at home. We would like to thank everyone for their patience of waiting out the new changes.
The question always gets asked; Is email marketing and advertising really worth it? Does it bring in more business? The answer is; absolutely yes! Home business thrives off of the internet and word of mouth to advertise. These days it’s very good business practice to create an email list. Not a spam list. A list you have collected from WILLING customers. Customers who gave you their email address in trade for updates on new products or information on your website.
You can ask a customer for thier email address after you sell them something. You could have an email signup or subscription button somewhere on your website. There are even companies like Aweber.com that will give you a great little email program to easily send to your individual customer base. This way; all your customers will receive a customized email message directed to them. Not just some general email.
Most home businesses out there like to send out an email to their customers. They usually send out an update from their website or new product. Home businesses can really create a living from sending out emails to members or customers of their website. Just send out a detailed email that directs the user to your new products or free information they should know about. The email should be more than just text, it should be eye catching. The email should have graphics as well as a catchy title.
Most people will delete an email they receive if they don’t have time to read it. Try to make the email short and to the point. Place a link that will direct them to your website or new product. This way: the person is more likely to click on the link, than read a long email. Especially if they know and trust you are an expert in your line of work.
Don’t overdue it in the emails you send out. Make them small, flashy, and to the point. Boring will only get deleted or put off to the side to read later. Don’t ever spam the customers of your business. Sending out 1 or 2 emails a week works just fine. Sometimes, even 1 or 2 can be too many emails for certain customers.
If you send out emails once a day, you could bother your customers to the point of canceling their account. The last thing a customer wants to find when they come back from vacation is to find their mailbox full, and you were the cause of it. Or maybe out of 10 emails, you sent 5 of them. We all know the bother of getting too many emails from the same place.
It’s important to have that link in the email that will direct your customer to your website or product. That’s the whole purpose of sending your email out to your customers, to advertise your product or website.
Another reason why you should place a link directing your customer elsewhere is; your website or webpage will be listed until you remove it some day. So it’s not going anywhere, anytime soon. An email can easily be deleted by the customer and they will still have a place to visit on the web, if they need that new product or information. Plus, others can benefit from seeing your product or website through a search engine or other advertisement means. Not just a few people you sent emails too. Being on the web is the most effective way of getting customers through email.
Remember to make your link with a catchy title to click on. Make the title of your link something that people will want to click on. Phrases like “Get it Now”, “Before it’s Too Late”, “Limited Time Only”, “Easy Cash Maker”, “Buy Now” and “Get a Free Gift”. Put a capitol letter on every important word in the phrase so it’s jumps out at your customers. Bold print or a colored font will help also.
More of your customers will click onto the link in the email if it jumps out at them. Don’t put the link at the bottom of your email. Place it on the top or middle of your email. Remember not to spam your customers. Make sure you get their permission to send them your marketing emails. Most customers don’t have a problem giving out their email if it will benefit them somehow. So make sure all your emails are worth while to your customers.
Email marketing has become huge business in the past few years. It really works to bring in customers. Every little bit counts. Email marketing can be a tremendous success for any business! Aweber.com is a great place to kick start your home business with email marketing.
