Hi everyone, I hope everything is going good. I recently had someone ask me why their paypal funds were being held. As you may or may not know, paypal started holding funds back in January on certain accounts. They only hold onto a small percentage of money. But, this has a lot of ebayers up in arms. The truth is, paypal (owned by ebay) made a great decision. It’s probably the best collective decision ebay or paypal has made in years.
Paypal had to change their ways about security. There were a lot of new paypal members signing up with someone elses identity. They would make purchases. By the time paypal caught it, the scammer was gone. So there were a lot of credit card transactions being reversed and sellers were getting ripped off. I am very happy paypal made these changes.
If you are an avid user of paypal you have probably been scammed this same way. Someone buys a high priced item and pay through paypal. Then you ship the item because paypal put the funds into your account. All is well, until your paypal account is negative money. Now you have to file a complaint to get your money back. We all know how fun this can be. The only way to get your money back is to have a premier or business paypal account. Thankfully, if you have a paypal business account, you get reimbursed because you are protected from fraud if you ship to a confirmed address.
The reason paypal is changing the way they send money is to protect sellers. There are a few reasons paypal will hold your funds for 21 days. They will not hold your funds if:
1. You have been an eBay member for 6 months or more, and:
2. Your total Feedback score is 100 or greater, and
3. Your buyer dis-satisfaction percentage is less than 5%.
OR
1.Your average DSR is 4.5 or greater and
2. You have received 20 or more DSRs in the last 12 months
I hope this helps everyone. If you have any questions feel free to ask me.

There is too much bogus information about home business on the internet from people that just copy and paste BS on their blog or website. They have no experience and just believe anything somebody says on a web page. So i figured, in my free time I can blog and help people.
But mainly, my goal with this blog is to steer people away from scams and bogus content. And at the same time I want to answer questions and help people. I hate get rich quick scams around the internet. Lots of people fall prey to them everyday and I am really sick of it. The thing I really hate about scams online are the ebooks that come along and say you can be rich overnight. That will never happen.
I have written a couple of ebooks to help people, just because of all the scams with ebooks out there. My ebooks do well, as they are special. I do not just sell an ebook to you. I back it up with my experience by helping along the way. That’s something nobody else is doing. Most people have never even used the information they sell as ebooks. It is usually just information they found online somewhere. I do charge money for my ebooks, as my customers get VIP service and work I can’t do for free. I do go the extra mile for people that buy my ebooks. When someone purchases an ebook they get 3(more if needed) months of tutoring from me. I offer unconditional help with things like researching and finding wholesalers you want, to showing you step by step anything you can’t figure out. I won’t advertise my ebooks on this post, as they do well already.
Who knows, maybe I can start a trend and experienced people will start writing ebooks and sell them along with experienced tutoring. Offer a money back guarantee and all the scam artists will be forced to do something else for a living. If you can’t help someone with questions about your ebook or how to do the subject in your ebook, you shouldn’t be allowed to sell it.
I do have a couple on blogs. Two blogs are for fun. I do use one blog to make money. I have advertisements and took some advice from the great John Chow among others. I don’t make much with the blog but that’s fine. It’s a learning experience and I am not in it for the money anyway. I want to help people learn how to make money at home. Even part time, anything extra helps. I know how it is to be scratching your head at home saying “how can I make money at home or online?” I was that person ten years ago.
I have been using ebay for about ten years. I met this great guy in 1998 who was always telling me how much money he made on ebay. He was nice enough to show me the ropes and get started on ebay. Maybe I got wanting to help people from him. Ebay was how I started making money from home online. I have expanded to many other marketplaces as auction marketplaces are my specialty. As you know, I do not list my auction marketplace ID’s anymore for sabatage reasons. Sad to say but, almost as soon as I started showing my auction id’s on my blogs(especially ebay) I noticed frantic fraud bidding and an avalanche of scam artists. So I don’t advertise my auctions or stores on my blogs anymore. They get enough exposure already on those marketplaces anyway. As you can tell, from the tips and information I give people on my blog; it’s not like I need the help when it comes to making money online.
For the past six months I have been teaching myself affiliate marketing. My goal is to get away from selling and live off of affiliate marketing instead (Don’t worry, I will always have my home business blogs. I think teaching people correct ways to bring in a little extra money at home is very important). I am finding out there is less work and stress involved with affiliate marketing. All you do is list a company link on one of your websites and when customers click that link you get paid in different ways; depending what that person does on that companies website. There are all kinds of tricks and tips to learn to be an affiliate marketing master. But that’s just like anything else. Practice makes perfect.
I would like to thank my friends around the net who have been kind enough to give me advice on how to market and advertise my websites. I get lots of great advice on young entreprenuer, a forum I visit to get and give home business advice. You see, I am using this kind of A&M knowledge to build experience of making and bringing traffic to my dream business website someday. Marketing and advertising is the most important part of having a website. If nobody knows you have a website, how can they visit it? Over the past six months I have become an advertising and marketing genius.
I think overall I will probaby stick with ebay through thick and thin until something else comes along better. Right now ebay has all marketplaces cornered. Ebay is pretty much the monopoly of auction marketplaces right now. There is too much money to be lost by taking ebay out of the equasion. History always repeats though. Someday something will come along bigger and better than ebay.
But I will always be here for my readers, I love to help people. I have developed quite a following with this blog and I thank you. Now I have found a new love for blogging. Helping people go hand and hand on my blogs. Anyone with questions about making money at home will not be ignored on my blog. In my years of helping people only one person has not been successful. And to tell you the truth, I don’t think they tried.
I do my best to post on my blogs everyday for you, although sometimes it’s just not possible. When I do post, it is usually answering someones question or giving information they asked about. I find answering my readers questions is most useful to everyone. I have been answering questions along with any tips or tricks I can give in a blog post. So, if you have any questions about making money at home, feel free to ask me. It doesn’t cost anything to ask me questions, don’t be shy:) I really am just someone who cares and wants to help you. Times are tough enough without trying to avoid scams too. I would hate to see anyone make a costly mistake they could have avoided. I have helped people from all around the world make money at home.
Thanks for reading my blog everyone. Have a great day!

Hi everyone, I hope you are doing well. I recently had someone tell me they had to pay ebay more than they made last month. As you know, every month ebay sends you a bill for the auction fees you used through the month. But you should never have to give ebay more money than you made. You have to figure out every detail from shipping costs to final value fees. And then charge accordingly for each item you put up for auction.
Ebay’s auction fees have increased dramatically in the past 2 years. You have to cut corners and try and use as few amount of auction extras as possible. For instance bold print, highlighted print, subtitle are unneeded. Why pay extra for them when a gallery picture can bring the same results at a fraction of the price. I always use a gallery picture as the eye catcher to my auction. A catchy and original title along with a gallery picture will out sell any beefed up auction. Pictures sell your auctions the best, remember that.
Try and lower your price and raise the shipping price. Ebay frowns on this, but it is allowed. If you lower the starting price more people will likely bid on your auction. Just raise your shipping price accordingly. Ebay doesn’t charge fees for shipping. But they do charge by the price of your auction. So, if you lower your starting price and raise your shipping price; your ebay fees will be lower per auction. Customers will get the illusion that they are getting a better deal, so you will have better business. This is also a good way to compete with the competition’s lower prices. Just don’t raise your shipping price to a ridiculously high price.
Don’t forget to use the free listing feature if an item doesn’t sell. Did you even know ebay let’s you relist an item for free? That’s right, they let you relist the auction for free if it doesn’t sell. Just go to “my ebay” under unsold auctions. Then choose the relist item option. There are some basic conditions to relist the item. You can only relist it once for free(certain auction extras are not refunded). If it doesn’t sell the second time around, the auction fees for the second time around are not refunded. You can’t make the starting price higher on the second time around. It has to be a single item, no multiple auctions. This relist option can save you hundreds or thousands of dollars in ebay fees by the end of the month.
There are ebay and paypal fee calculators all over the internet. Knowing exactly how much each auction will cost you in fees; will help you know what you have to set for shipping, starting, buy it now, etc., prices. Ebay fees can be very tricky if you think they are not costing you anything. Even one dollar is a lot of money to list an auction. What if the auction doesn’t sell? It all adds up over a month’s time. You have to count everything. Here are some great tools I have used for a long time now. They are pretty reliable I have listed them before. Here is a great ebay fees calculator. Here is a great paypal fees calculator. They are both free to use as much as you want. I recommend using them if you want to save some dough through the month.
There are tons of little things you can do to save a buck when listing an auction. Just think of ways you can use other options that will work as good for a lower auction fee. Drop any unnecessary auction options. There are tons of ebay options to choose from. I say keep it simple and basic. Simple and basic options seem to be the things that have sold best through my ebay years. You don’t need all the auction bells and whistles to sell an item. Ebay counts on people to pick all kinds of auction options. Those are the things that make them money, all the extras. Use your brain when you list an auction. Everyone learns their own little tricks to save a buck. These are just a few tips you can use to save some money on ebay. By trying new things you can learn some money saving tricks on your own. Just don’t over-do it. Or you can get some tips from this blog and use them to your advantage.
If anyone has questions, don’t hesitate to ask me. Thanks for reading, see you all tomorrow.

Spoof and phishing emails are the most common way new ebay members are scammed. Spoof and phishing emails look exactly like ebay or paypal emails. Con-artists have got really good in the past few years. They can make any ebay or paypal email look and seem real. The one sure way to avoid these scam emails is to never click onto the links in the email. Some of the links can steal your information when you click on them. If you do click onto the links in the email; it will bring you to a page that looks like ebay except the web address. The web address it brings you to, is not www.ebay.com or www.paypal.com web address. It is always another website that you won’t recognize. That’s because the scammer sent you to their own little hack website.
You may get and email telling you that your account needs urgent attention. The email may tell you your account was suspended or you logged in from a different ip address. The email may say you need to fix your account or it may be suspended. The con-artists will try every way possible to get you to click the links in the email. If you click the link in the email it will bring you to a website that looks just like ebay or paypal. The web page will probably ask you to sign in. When you sign in, the con-artist steals your account login information. Some con-artists may even direct you to a page that asks for personal information like your social security number and bank information.
Bidding scams are another way that new ebay members are scammed. It is called bid shilling and shielding. A seller or buyer will probably have have two or more ebay accounts. It could even be two or more individuals that are in ca-hoots together. Bidding scams are few and far between, but that doesn’t mean that sellers don’t do it anymore. One buyer will place a small bid. Another account or two will place a much higher bid. Then right before the auction ends, the highest bidder withdraws their bid. Then the person that bid the amount in between gets stuck paying for the auction. This type of scam bidding can be done from the bidder or the seller. Bid shilling and shielding is against ebays rules and regulations. Don’t try it or your account will be suspended if you are caught.
Ebay and paypal will never ask you to sign in to your account from an email. They will never ask for any of your personal information through email. Don’t be a victim of scam. Protect your personal information. If you receive an email that says it is from paypal or ebay; you can forward it to them and see if it is a fake email. Just forward the email to spoof@ebay.com or spoof@paypal.com .

Some people out there are out to ruin good sellers reputations for anything. I have seen people leave negative feedback because the package arrived in the PM instead of the AM. Silly stupid reasons just to ruin a 100% rating. There are ways to have ebay remove bogus negative feedback.
Don’t commit feedback abuse ebay will take serious action if you are reported. Violations of feedback abuse may result in a range of actions, including:
- Listing cancellation
- Limits on account privileges
- Account suspension
- Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings
- Loss of PowerSeller status
- Feedback removal
Here are some circumstances that will allow you to remove negative ebay feedback.
Feedback Rating Withdrawal (feedback rating removed, comment remains)
- Members who use the eBay Mutual Feedback Rating Withdrawal process will have their feedback rating withdrawn once both members have completed the process.
- eBay will withdraw the feedback rating if provided with a ruling or settlement agreement from an eBay-approved certified dispute resolution service or a settlement resolving a lawsuit.
Feedback that meets any of the circumstances below is feedback abuse and may be subject to removal.
Feedback that doesn’t meet any of the reasons outlined below will not be removed:
- eBay is provided with a valid court order finding that the disputed feedback is slanderous, libelous, defamatory or otherwise illegal.
- The feedback comment contains profane, vulgar, obscene, or racist language or adult material. Inflammatory language, such as “fraud, liar, cheater, scam artist, con man” etc., while strongly discouraged, will not be removed.
- The feedback comment contains personal identifying information about another member, including real name, address, phone number, or e-mail address.
- The feedback makes reference to an eBay, PayPal or law enforcement organization investigation.
- The feedback comment contains links or scripts.
- Negative feedback intended for another member will be considered for removal only in situations where the member responsible for the mistaken posting informs eBay of the error and has already placed the same feedback for the correct member.
- Feedback left by a person ineligible to participate in eBay transactions, according to Section 1 of the eBay User Agreement, at the time of the transaction or the time the feedback was left.
- Feedback left by a member who provided eBay with false contact information and could not be contacted. In general, the transaction period is considered to be 90 days from the end of the listing or 30 days from the date the feedback was left, whichever was longer.
- Feedback left by a member who bid on or purchased an item solely to have the opportunity to leave negative feedback for the seller, with no intention of completing the transaction.
- Feedback left by users who are indefinitely suspended for certain policy violations within 90 days of registration. eBay takes the position that members who are indefinitely suspended soon after registration shouldn’t be able to permanently impact another member’s account.
- eBay will automatically remove feedback from members indefinitely suspended within 90 days of registration. Not all suspension types qualify for automatic feedback removal. For example, accounts that are suspended for non-payment of eBay bills and instances when eBay provides the member with the opportunity to fix the issue (and be reinstated), do not qualify for automatic removal.
So you can have a negative ebay feedback removed. I have had a few of my bogus and slanderous negative feedbacks removed. I have to admit, it is a timely process, but it works. Ebay and Squaretrade tend to take their time with feedback removal. Now that you know the ways you can have your negative feedback removed, get going. Go through all your negative feedback (I hope it isn’t too much). See if any of your negative feedbacks reflect any of the ways you can have it removed.
You can find out more about ebay feedback abuse here. Goodluck and see you all tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy holidays everyone! Have you ever posted an auction on ebay and not made any money, because you didn’t figure the ebay and paypal fees? It is so important to figure your fees, so you can charge the appropriate price. You don’t want to end up paying for an auction you should have made money on. I have seen so many people on ebay screw themselves because they didn’t figure out ebay or paypal fees beforehand. Especially if you are selling a high priced item. The fees will be higher, so be very cautious before you list that auction. You want to make profit, not pay out of your pocket.
You can figure out the fees by visiting the ebay or paypal fee calculators on their websites. They list all the fees on various prices. They have a pyramid type pricing list that you can figure out your ebay and paypal fees. Ebay and paypal make it very easy to figure out your fees. Take advantage of it. Knowing your total auction fees will save your business and make it more profitable. One thing that will make your business fail is; not knowing hidden fees that come along with selling an auction. This can take up lots of time though. Through the years I have found some really cool tools that are quicker to figure out total auction fees.
One tool I have been using for ebay fees is a calculator. Just type in the prices and the calculator tells you how much the ebay total auction fees will be. The ebay calculator I use is located at www.ebcalc.com , it comes in handy and saves lots of time. Even though ebay lists all their fee calculations on their website, this tool will do the same thing in half the time you can figure out the fees. Try it out, I am sure you will find it very handy.
Another tool I use, figures out the paypal fees. Paypal fees can really get you, because the more you get paid, the more they take. The paypal fee calculator I use is located at http://www.ppcalc.com/ . This will save you tons of time trying to figure out the paypal fees. Try and use this calculator as much as you can. It will save you tons of time and money also. I have been using this tool for sometime now and I can’t live without it.
These are the two tools I use to figure out ebay auction and paypal fees. I hope these come in handy for some of you. These tools have really grown on me. I can figure out my auction fees in half the time using these tools. Plus you will have the knowledge to maximize your profits. If there is one thing I am good at, is maximizing ebay profit. Try them out and get familar with them.
Take care everyone, see you tomorrow.

Hi everyone, today I am going to tell you how to save some money on ebay auction fees. We all know that once a month ebay hits you with their bill. My bill is usually in the thousands each month in auction fees. But, believe it or not, I probably save my self at least a thousand dollars a month with some sure fire tips. The tips I will tell you about are very well known. Lots of powersellers use these same tips to reduce auction fees. You may not save thousands of dollars, but you will see a huge decrease in your monthly ebay bill, if you use some of these tips.
Use dutch or multiple item auctions. These types of auctions will allow you to sell multiple items in one auction. If you have multiple items that are the same, this type of auction comes in handy. You can sell multiple items to be sold as bulk to one lucky bidder. Or you can sell multiple items to many different ebay users with buy it now. When you list multiple items in one listing, you only pay for one auction. This alone can save you tons of money each month. Sometimes a person will miss out on your auction and offer you a deal for one of the items for sale. Ebay doesn’t recommend this type of practice, as it would be an outside deal. But I can’t say people don’t do it.
Don’t pay for the extra pictures and services. learn HTML, it’s very easy and it will save you tons of dough. With HTML you can place pictures into your auction for free. You are able to add your own add-ons that ebay will ordinarily make you pay for. All these little add-ons is how ebay makes their money. Millions of people pay for these same options that you can place for free right into your auctions with HTML. Plus you get the benefit of using a professional looking auction template with custom options to your liking. By using HTMl in your auctions will also increase your sales.
Use second chance offer. Second chance offer gives the person who came in second on the bid war, to win the auction at the price they ended their bidding at. If the bid war ended at 50 dollars. And the second place bidder bid $49.99, you can offer the item to them. Usually that person is so mad they lost out on the auction, that they are happy you offered them a second chance offer.
Relist your auctions that don’t sell.Yes, if you relist your auctions the second time around it is absolutely free. On the condition that it sells. But most auctions sell the second time around. Some categories don’t let you do this, but most of categories will give you this great discount. Lots of ebay members don’t know about this little trick. Use it and you will save!
Open an Ebay store. Having an ebay store can save you lots of money because the item can stay up for weeks. The listing fees for each item is really low with an ebay store. If you are good at drawing traffic, your ebay store will not only save you money, but it will be a gold mine.
Use the pricing pyramid for starting prices. For example, if you are selling an item for $25.00 the auction fee is $1.20. But if you list it at $24.99 the auction fee will be $0.60. You can save your self some good dough by keeping the pricing pyramid in mind. Ebay’s pricing pyramid is right here
http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/fees.html
If a buyer doesn’t pay get your auction listing fees back. Did you know if someone doesn’t pay, you can get your auction fees returned. That’s right, go to your “my ebay” and look for the customers who bought stuff from you. Now give them a payment reminder. You can give them 2 more payment reminders, through a stretch of about 2 weeks. If they don’t pay for the auction on the third payment request, ebay will refund your auction fees. Just click onto refund auction fees next to the non-paying customers name in your “my ebay”.
Use ebay promotions to your advantage. Every once and a while ebay will give you free auction listings. Other times they will take a percentage off of each auction listing. Use these auctions to your advantage. List as many auctions as you can on these days. After all, even if they don’t sell, what did you lose?
This should save you all tons of money when that monthly ebay bill comes in.
Stop by tomorrow or subscribe for free, if you enjoy my blog.
Thank you for stopping by,
Lisa

Hi everyone, I hope your Thanksgiving was a great one! I told you all, I would give you a surprise today. I have had many people asking and emailing me for a list of wholesale distributors. There really isn’t one wholesale list. Wholesale lists could be a list of websites that have drop ship or wholesale in their business name or description. These types of wholesale lists are scams. No real wholesale distributor would advertise that they drop ship or sell wholesale. They don’t need to advertise this information. Most wholesale distributors are already well established and have thousands of big business customers already. This is why you should never look for a drop shipper or wholesale distributor in a search engine. Middlemen posing as real wholesale distributors and drop shippers flood search engines.
A good wholesale list is a list that has been researched extensively. In order to find a real wholesale distributor, you have to call the manufacturer. Then you have to ask the manufacturer for their wholesale distributor information. Then you have to call each wholesale distributor and ask, if they do business with home businesses. Then, if you want to drop ship, you have to ask each wholesale distributor if they drop ship for home businesses.
All this research to find a few wholesale distributors could take you hours, days, or weeks of research. So I am going to give you a list of the wholesale distributors that I use. All, but one of them, drop ship as well. Remember, in order to do business with any of the wholesale distributors I mention, you have to have a business license(LLC or sole proprietorship) & state and federal tax ID numbers.
Most of the time, it is against the manufacturers rules to post wholesale prices to the public. You may have been to a wholesale distributors website and noticed you only saw retail or msrp prices. This is because, they are not allowed to post the wholesale prices unless you have a business license. This is why most wholesale distributors have a special pricing catalog available to members only. Because members have already shown the wholesale distributor proof that they are a business. Make sure if you sign up with a wholesale distributor; they don’t charge any monthly membership fees and no hidden charges. These are the types of middlemen businesses you need to watch our for. They are only out to take your money and give you overpriced goods and lousy cutomer service. Real wholesale distributors will never charge you monthly or membership fees.
Okay, the first wholesale distributor that I recommend for home business is Moteng International. Their website is Moteng.com and they sell mostly camping and sporting goods. They are a very good company. They also drop ship for your business. If you own your own website, you can make maximum profit using Moteng. I would recommend using them to drop ship on ebay. But keep in mind, too many people already use them for drop shipping, so your competition will be tough. If you want to buy in bulk, I would definitely recommend Moteng. They have very low wholesale prices, if you buy bulk. Their drop ship price is very reasonable also, under $5.00 per customer order. (remember, if you visit any of the wholesale distributors websites I tell you about, you will only see retail or msrp prices. You have to become a member to see the wholesale prices.)
Second wholesale distributor I recommend is; Wynit Inc. Their website is wynit.com and they sell electronics and electronics accessories. They also drop ship for your business. The prices are kind of high to drop ship on ebay. But, if you want to buy in bulk to resell on ebay, Wynit is one of the best. Their wholesale prices in bulk are the best around. Keep in mind, the more you buy, the better the price. Their drop ship price is also very reasonable at $5.00 per customer order.
My third recommendation for a wholesale distributor is Petra Industries. These guys are great. Their website is petra.com and they sell electronics and electronic accessories. Petra also drop ships for your business. Some items petra has, can make you some really good money with drop shipping on ebay. Just remember that the competition will be tough. They also have some really good deals if you want to buy in bulk. They also have a very reasonable drop ship fee of $5.00 per customer order.
Jewelry Sprite is another great wholesale distributor that drop ships. Their website is jewelrysprite.com and they sell, guess, jewelry. The jewelry they sell is not top of the line, but it sells really well on ebay! I would recommend giving jewelry sprite a try if you want to drop ship inexpensive jewelry for your ebay business. They also have very good prices if you want to buy in bulk to resell on ebay. Their drop ship price is very good at under $5.00 per customer order.
The next wholesale distributor I am going to tell you about is one of the best. Their name is Elegant Moments. Their website is elegantmoments.com and they sell lingerie and adult novelties. They also drop ship for your business. They have some of the best quality lingerie I have ever seen. I have a store-front dedicated to selling nothing but elegant moments merchandise. I also own lots of their merchandise, so I can recommend them as great! If you want to make some really good money on ebay, I would recommend selling elegant moments merchandise. They have some great deals if you want to buy in bulk also. Their drop ship fees are $7.00 per customer order ($2.00 handling + $5.00 drop ship fee). Even though their drop ship price is high, they have great wholesale prices that will more than make up for it. I recommend elegant moments to boost sales for your ebay business.
Last but not least, is another great company. Their name is Active Light. Their website is activelight.com and they specialize in selling major electronics names like Sony & Hitachi. I am not sure if they drop ship. They were talking about starting to drop ship soon. They are really good for buying in bulk and reselling on ebay. The prices are spectacular. I definitely recommend them for your big name brand electronics.
If you don’t find what you need at any of the wholesale distributors, I recommend and you don’t want to do hours, days, or weeks or research, there is another option you can take. World Wide Brands is a great place that will find you a wholesale distributor or drop shipper, for any product you want to sell. Their website is worldwidebrands.com and they are a dream come true. They have teams that constantly call manufacturers, to find out the wholesale distributors and drop shippers that work with home businesses. They can save you 75% or more of your research time. I wish these guys were around when i started my ebay business. They would have saved me years of product research.

Hi everyone, I hope you are well. Thanks for all your comments on the new blog. I really appreciate the feedback. Today I am going to tell you about how to protect your paypal account. If you are a paypal member, you recently got an email informing you about phishing scams. The paypal phishing scam are emails that look exactly like a paypal email. But they are fake. There are two ways you can protect yourself against phishing email scams; Learn how to spot them and how to protect yourself. It is also best to have a premium or business paypal account. Then you are covered if any fraudulent activity is found on your account.
A phishing scam email will have a fake story that is designed to make you click the link, so they can steal your personal information. It’s usually threatening enough to make you want to click it. It may say, you are suspended or your account only has limited use, until you click here. Or something along those lines to scare you into clicking the link. The sender is trying to trick you into giving them any personal information about your identity. They are probably trying to steal your account passwords or bank information also.
Don’t trust the email address the email is supposedly coming from. It is really easy to disguise an email address to look like another. Just because it says it came from paypal, is not necessary true. If you click on to the link, notice it doesn’t go to paypal.
Paypal will never ask you for any of your personal information through an email. This includes, your full name, password, drivers license number, social security number, credit or debit card numbers, pin numbers or bank account numbers. If anyone asks for any of this information, They are not paypal and should be looked at as a scammer. If you recieve a phishing email forward it along with the header to spoof@paypal immediately.Paypal will do an investigation and go after them.
You may get an email claiming that you need to install paypal software. Never trust an attachment or software update claiming to be from paypal. Paypal will never send you any files or attachments ever. These files may be a virus or worm. Don’t open or attach any files sent in these emails. Just forward it along with the header to spoof@paypal.com.
One of the safest ways to check and see if an email is really from paypal; Go directly to your paypal account from your Internet browser. Then check the information out in your account. Never go to your paypal account by clicking on a link in the email. Even if you think it’s a real paypal email. Don’t take that chance.
If you are not sure if an email is really from paypal. Forward it to spoof@paypal and ask them. They will send you a return email informing you if it is real or not.
Update your internet browser to the latest version. This will ensure you have full protection in your browser. Also, run windows update and install updates that you need to add more security. Paypal is making a number of steps to stop fraud. But you have to know, they can’t do it without our help. If you even suspect an email to be a fake paypal email, forward it to spoof@paypal right away, so they can go after the culporate. Do your part to help.
The same with an ebay email. If you think its fake, forward it to spoof@ebay.com right away. Ebay will do an investigation and let you know if it is fake or not.
I hope this helps some of you be more protected from fraud. If you have any questions about this post feel free to email me.

Hi everyone! I have a treat for you today. Some information to expand your horizons. I am going to tell you about places you can buy or sell online. And none of them are ebay. Ebay isn’t the only auction marketplace. There a few out there that specialize in something or are up and coming to be huge auction marketplaces. When you own a business, you never want to settle for one thing. The more places you branch off to, the more customers you will get. Yes, you may not get the sales you get on ebay, but there are other marketplaces that offer their services for free. Ebay charges high fees, so why not try the same thing for free. You want a back up plan for other places to buy and sell from. As usual, my review is based on my own experiences. I recommend every one of the websites I mention in today’s post.
Bid4assets.com is one of my favorites! You can sell here, but I wouldn’t recommend it. This website doesn’t get traffic for buying goods off merchants. It’s nothing fancy, but it holds some great bargains. It’s not really a place you want to buy little things from. Government agencies like the U.S Marshalls Office, FBI, and ATF confiscate items from people every day. Bid4assets is a major place that the government resells seized property, from high end cars, to homes with lots of property. Anything that the government has lawfully taken from fugitives and so forth. There are some junkers, but that’s to be expected. Most of it comes from crooked low down people, I am sure. This is a great place to check out. Everyone now and then there is a great deal there.
Blujay.com is another great marketplace. It’s 100% free to use and you can even set up a web store. This isn’t an auction marketplace, but it is a great place to set up a free store. They get tons of traffic. Not as much as ebay of course, but they get enough traffic so you will have sales. You can also find some really good deals. They let you use Google checkout and Paypal for payment methods excepted. These guys grow everyday. Someday soon they will be a marketplace giant. When you set up a webstore with them; you webstore is automatically placed into google and froogle search engines. It’s a fantastic place to branch off to.
Ecrater.com is another spectacular free marketplace. Ecrater’s best feature is; You can set up your own E-Commerce Website, for free! Ecrater gets tons of traffic everyday(in the hundreds of thousands), so they are nothing to shake a stick at. Your E-Commerce store and products in it will be automatically sourced into google search engine. You can find some really good deals here also. Just buy some stock cheap and resell on ebay. I really recommend branching out into an ecrater E-Commerce website. Again, your sales won’t be like ebay, but you will notice them coming in. There is one downside; they only let you accept google checkout in the checkout options. But you can also list payment details in your item description, if you accept other payment methods. This is my number one recommended marketplace. Everyone should have an ecrater store!
Ubid.com is another great place to buy and sell products. Ubid has really grown in the past year. You are missing out if you don’t buy or sell on Ubid. The auction fess are a lot cheaper than ebay. This is another place I make a habit of buying goods to resell on ebay. It is also the best place, besides ebay to sell products also. The traffic and customer base is probably the biggest, out of all the auction marketplaces that I mention today. You will do a lot of sales being a member of Ubid.
Bidz.com is another great place to find some really great deals. This a great place to buy some top notch jewelry. You can also sell here, but that’s not what the customer base is there for. You won’t make much if you try and sell anything here. But if you are looking for something as elegant as a 6 carat diamond ring, you have come to the right place. You can make a lot of money, if you buy low and resell on ebay. The prices are really low on bidz! They can charge lower prices because they have branched with many top jewelry makers from around the globe. In the past year or so, Bidz has really grown into a top jewelry website. I have been using them for over 2 years now and have saved thousands of dollars on jewelry. Diamonds are a woman’s best friend.
Half.com is a great place to buy smaller items like movies, music, video games, and books. They even started a sellers option, so you can sell your movies, books, and video games. Take advantage of half.com for all your media needs. They are a branch of ebay, so you can even use your ebay name.
Amazon.com is another force to be reckoned with. Amazon has been around almost as long as ebay. Amazon has great deals everyday on all sorts of items. They are probably the most comparable to ebay, out of the marketplaces I tell you about today. You can buy or sell here. The traffic you will get at amazon will be substantial. I recommend selling on amazon. I wouldn’t really say you could buy and resell on ebay for higher prices. Also, the sellers competition at Amazon is about the same as ebay. You will see sales generate by selling on Amazon. You can find some good deals here, if you are buying something for your self.
Bidville.com is another good auction marketplace. You could sell or buy there. There are some really good bargains. There isn’t traffic like ebay, but it’s a place to branch off into. Most of these auction marketplaces are great to buy low and resell for a higher price on ebay. The more places your products are on the internet, the more sales you will get. You won’t make a fortune at bidville, but it provides a unique experience that you will surely benefit from.
Those are the marketplaces I recommend you expand your business to. Growth is the best way any business can make more money. Yes it’s true, you won’t make as much as you do on ebay, using these other marketplaces. But using all them together will at least double your sales volume. You won’t be hit with outrageous auction fees either. That means more profit for your business. Also your business name will be well known through out search engines. You won’t be stuck on one marketplace. With a little originality, you could grow faster than most businesses doing the same old thing. Give them a try you won’t regret it.

Chances are, if you are starting your own business online you want to do it legally. The information in todays blog is geared towards the united states, but will work generally anywhere in the world. Just ask the wholesaler what they need from you, to do business with them. You will need this information in order to buy from real wholesale distributors. There are so many advantages to having legal documents to run your business. You can write off all expenses to your business on your taxes. You will have a business name to go by, which is a lot more professional than using just your name.
You can acquire your business license at your local city hall. If you are a home business, chances are, you are the only one who will be working for your business. For that reason, I would recommend an LLC or sole proprietorship business license. These licenses are perfect for small home business because they are geared for a 1 person business. Your city hall will be able to give you your new license on the spot. The price may vary depending on your area. Generally they cost $25-$100 dollars.
You should do some research to see if LLC or sole proprietor license will be better for you. They both have goods and bad. But you need one of them to buy from a real wholesale distributor. Anyone who tells you they are a wholesale distributor and does not ask for this information, is not a real wholesaler. Don’t be fooled by middlemen.
You will also need the tax ids to do business with wholesalers. You will need a federal tax ID (also known as EIN number). You can get your EIN at www.irs.gov for free. Just fill out the application with all your business information. After you are done hit send. The application is accepted right away. On the following page you will be able to see your temporary EIN certificate. Print it up and keep it for your records. This is the same number that will be on your permanent EIN certificate. The IRS will mail your permanent EIN number to you. Once you print your temporary EIN certificate, your EIN is live. You can begin using your EIN number right away.
For most states you will need state tax id numbers. Especially if you are doing business across state lines or out of the country. You’ll know if you need state tax numbers if your state says you need them to do business.. If your state requires state tax numbers to do business, find out what ones you will need. You can find out what state tax numbers you will need by asking your wholesaler also. You wholesaler will probably require that you have a resale and use and sales tax numbers. This will give you permission to resell goods across state or country lines.
Your wholesale distributor may ask for more information than you have. They may ask you to fill out an application to use their service. They may even ask you to fill out some forms. Its very common for a wholesale distributor to have you fill out extra documents specific to their business.
Just go to your state website and acquire the tax id numbers you need. For instance if you live in Massachusetts, you would go to www.mass.gov to get your tax ids. It’s totally free to get your state tax numbers online. Just follow through the application and send. Print up your temporary tax certificate and wait for your permanent tax certificate to be mailed to you. Your temporary tax number will be the same as your permanent number. Your state tax numbers will be live as soon as you get your temporary certificate. Now you are legal and can buy from any wholesale distributor for your home business.
Things to keep in mind. If a wholesale distributor charges monthly membership fees for their service they are not a real wholesale distributor. Don’t be scammed by middlemen saying they are wholesale distributors. Do your research before signing up with anyone. You could even call the manufacturer to see if they are really a wholesale distributor. If something seems to good to be true, it probably is.
Some people might tell you not to get business credentials. They may say if you are starting off you don’t need them. This is a myth. If you want to make money and stay in business you need this information. Otherwise you will be forced to buy from high priced middlemen. Even if you are not going to use your business credentials right away. It’s always good to have them for when you will need them. Try and buy small bulk from wholesalers. Try and drop ship all the large stuff so you don’t have to deal with the hassle.
If you need to know more or have questions, feel free to email me.
Thanks,
Lisa

Are you sick of buying from middlemen, claiming to be wholesale distributors? Today I am going to tell you how to find any product you want from real wholesale distributors. As some of you might have noticed, I have a new section on my blog today, Drop Ship sources. Remember, I don’t put anything on my blog that I haven’t tried and approved of already. I recommend World Wide Brands if you are having a problem buying from a real wholesale distributor.
World Wide Brands are the only official publisher of wholesale supplier information certified by ebay. They are the number one source for finding real wholesale distributors. They are a trusted member of the better business bureau online reliability program. They have been around for about 7 years and have a really good reputation.
World Wide Brands is a source to find real wholesale distributors that drop ship, sell light bulk, large volume, and much more. They have done extensive research to find the real wholesale distributors that will work with you. They will find you a wholesaler for anything, from electronics to pet supplies. If you need a wholesaler, they will find it for you.
Drop shipping doesn’t have to be a nightmare. The hardest part to finding a product to sell, is finding a wholesale distributor you can trust. World Wide Brands uses a system they call OneSource. This is a huge database that finds a real wholesale distributor for the product/s you want to sell. This database has thousands of pre-verified, scam-free wholesalers who have already agreed to work with home based E-biz owners. OneSource is updated every business day of the year with new wholesale suppliers and instant wholesale buys, by their full-time research team.
World Wide Brands also does extensive market research for you. You can learn what products are going to sell before you sell them. Every time you search for a product OneSource will tell you:
On a 0% to 100% scale, how well each product you search for will sell.
How many people are searching the Internet for your products.
How many other people are selling your products.
Who your competitors are, and what their Advertising says.
What other variations of your product searches are selling well online.
Which Search Engine Keywords are the most popular for the products you want to sell.
There are literally thousands of wholesale products you can sell using OneSource. You will have every product on the market in your reach. You won’t have to do all that extensive research yourself anymore. You won’t have to worry about being scammed by your so called wholesaler. You won’t have to worry about your ebay feedback going down the drain. The companies OneSource will put you in touch with, have been pre- verified to be a real wholesale distributor. I can’t say enough about this source for finding a real wholesale distributor.
One of the most popular questions ebay sellers ask; How can I find a real wholesale distributor? The answer is World Wide Brands.
Thanks for stopping by my daily blog,

Working online can be very profitable. If you have ever asked the question; should I start an ebay business or a website(E-store)? This question is very common. You see this question all over the internet. I will do my best to explain it to you.
Websites and E-commerce stores can be very profitable if you know how to advertise. Advertising is the one things needed to draw traffic to your new website. It may take up to 2-4 months to see a real traffic or sales increase. But you have to keep advertising everyday. Today’s search engines only find new content. For this reason constant advertising is a must. And if you are a beginner, it may be very frustrating.
You have to worry about web design and hosting fees. Unless you know how to do this all on your own, you could pay thousands of dollars to get started. Remember you need a fully functional, professional looking website in order to draw customers. You can get all the traffic you want, but if your website doesn’t seem up to par with the customer, they will probably just move along to another website.
Websites do have something over ebay. Profit margins are a lot better on your own website. For the sole reason, you are competing with other estores charging around the same retail price. With ebay, so many people are trying to beat out the others wholesale price, that the profit margin per sale is very small. Most people start out by drop shipping, so e-stores would be the way to go. Just because drop shipping will always be more expensive. The company has to split up a carton or box of product. Then they have to box and ship one single item. This takes time and money, that’s why drop shipping is more money that buying bulk in wholesale.
What’s worse, if you are drop shipping you can’t compete with low starting prices. Most of the powersellers on ebay started by drop shipping but have moved up to buying wholesale. Buying bulk in wholesale is how you will make more money on ebay. Even though I promote drop shipping to start, I recommend buying wholesale in bulk to be your long term goal. There are lots of ways to make money on ebay with drop shipping though. You just need to do a lot more research.
Ebay stores and auctions are probably the easiest way to make sales. Ebay does all the advertising for you. Your job is to draw the customers to your auction. Using ebay will let you spend more time on making sales than advertising. You will probably get more sales on ebay, but your profit margin will be really low per sale. You have to pay for ebay fees. If you are into drop shipping, ebay makes it really easy to do research on what is hot. If you are buying by wholesale in bulk, you can pretty much sell anything and compete with the competition.
They both have their pros and cons. I would recommend setting up an e-store and an ebay account on the side. This way you hit the most audience possible. Remember to leave your website address in all the signatures of your email. E-stores are generally more profitable if you are drop shipping. With the right researching you could make a lot from drop shipping on ebay also. But buying bulk in wholesale should be your ebay goal. Remember if you need any help to get started just email me.
Thanks,
Lisa
